The below outlines the terms and conditions for learners undertaking the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi-Skills Development in Sport with First Step Training.

The theory elements of this qualification will be delivered over two, 3-hour online tutor session (via Zoom).
Learners must attend both sessions in full to be able to complete the course successfully.
Course Assessment
- Learners are required to complete a portfolio of short answer questions. Learners will be provided with login details to an e-portfolio and guidance on how to use it by the course tutor.
- Learners will also be required to plan, deliver and evaluate six linked and progressive multi-skills sessions in THEIR live coaching setting, alongside a Level 2 qualified coach.
- Learners will be required to plan, deliver and review an additional 40-minute multi-skills coaching session. This will be observed and assessed by their tutor.
The one assessed session can either be:
- Recorded and uploaded to the online portfolio.
- Live streamed to your assessor via Zoom/Teams/FaceTime etc.
First Step Training will provide filming guidance and a participant consent form if required.
Note: Live observations can be arranged under extenuating circumstances but will be subject to a travel expense charge of 30p per mile from HU10 6RJ.
Completing The Qualification
- Once the learner has attended the two online workshops, it is then their responsibility to complete the tasks set by the tutor on the e-portfolio.
- Once work is submitted by the learner, the assessor will mark it and provide feedback on the e-portfolio.
- Once the learner has provided all the required evidence and the assessor has marked it as competent, an internal verifier (IV) will access the online portfolio to check the level of assessment (within 7 days of completion).
- Once the IV has confirmed all evidence is present and the assessment has been completed correctly, the qualification will be complete, and the certificate will be applied for.
- Certificates usually take between 7-10 days to arrive; they will then be posted by First Step Training to the Learner. An electronic copy will also be available if required.
Important Information
- Each learner has an allocated tutor responsible for their progress.
- The allocated tutor will check the learner’s e-portfolio once per week to mark any submitted work and provide feedback.
- Tutors are also available via email at any time but may only respond between the hour of 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri.
- Learners will receive a monthly email from their tutor to ‘check-in’ as a reminder of work that still needs completing.
- If a learner does not access their portfolio or make any qualification progress for a period of 2 months, their portfolio will be archived. This will suspend their login. The learner will receive a ‘notification of suspension’ via email from a member of the First Step Training admin team.
- The learner can have their portfolio returned to ‘live’ at any time, however, it will be their responsibility to contact First Step Training to have this actioned. Instructions on how to do this will be provided in their ‘notification of suspension’ email.
- The maximum duration for this qualification is 12 months. After 12 months the learner’s qualification registration will be cancelled.
- If for any reason a learner needs to take a break in learning, the simply contact their tutor who will explain the process of putting their qualification on hold. Under reasonable circumstance, the learner’s registration can then be extended by the duration of the break in learning to a maximum of 24 months.
